U.S. School Systems

• Accredited public, public charter, and private schools are eligible to apply.
• Teaching positions are full-time, with duties, hours, and compensation equivalent to those of American teachers.
• No more than 20% of the teaching staff at a school can be J-1 teachers.
• Appointments are temporary and do not lead to tenure.
• Non-instructional positions are not eligible for placement through our program.

Schools must be accredited by either a private academic accrediting organization or the
state. If there is no state-level accreditation process, public schools must demonstrate
annual compliance with state standards unless they hold a private accreditation
certificate. TIES Learning evaluates publicly available data on school accountability and
other metrics to determine public school eligibility. Alternatively, schools can provide a
letter from the state confirming their compliance with state standards. Schools that
exclusively offer daycare, preschool, or kindergarten are not eligible. TIES Learning can
place teachers in public schools in the state of Arizona only. For further questions or
